Amnesty International Zimbabwe is part of a global movement of more than 7 million activists that campaign for internationally recognised human rights for all.
Our vision is for every person to enjoy all of the rights that are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in addition to other international human rights standards. We are an independent organisation that is without influence from any government, political ideology, economic interest or religious persuasion. We are a donor funded organisation that accepts funds to the extent that they do not threaten or compromise our ethical independence or hinder transparency.
Our organisation is mandated with a broad variety of human rights issues that span poverty, forced evictions, sexual reproductive and health rights in addition to gender-based violence among others. These and other human rights issues form the basis of our mandate.
