Research and Advocacy unit

The Research and Advocacy Unit (RAU) is a leading think tank with over a decade of experience in conducting research across a wide range of policy issues including human rights and governance, with particular focus on women and youth. Its strategic direction focuses on three interlinked programmes: active citizenship, community security and influencing policy and is buttressed on the theory of change that ‘where good policy research on issues that matter to the people is availed, they are able to exercise their agency’.

RAU conducts research in areas such as human rights, democracy and governance particularly issues pertaining to women, children and state institutions.
