Zimbabwe Association for Crime Prevention and Rehabilitation of Offender(ZACRO)

ZACRO is an organization which works to prevent crime and promote the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders back into society while advocating for the rule of law, accountability and good governance in the justice system of Zimbabwe.

ZACRO is a not for profit-making organization that was founded in 1923 as a Prisoners’ Aid Society. In 1968, it was officially registered as a Welfare Organization (65/68) that operates through a network of country-wide volunteers that attend to the needs of vulnerable groups engaged with the justice system. It has over 90 years of hands-on experience in policy influence, advocacy, research and humanitarian work within our prison systems.

The organization envisages an empowered and crime-free society where everyone is secure and freely enjoys their rights.
